In Australia, the donation of reproductive tissue must be altruistic.

In Australia, the donation of reproductive tissue must be altruistic. It is against the law for someone to profit from the donation of sperm (as detailed in the Human Tissue Act 1982 and NHMRC –¬†Ethical guidelines on the use of assisted reproductive technology in clinical practice and research 2007). However, we realise that your time is valuable; therefore, to cover reasonable expenses, you will be reimbursed for each suitable donation.
